Kiniro no Corda: Primo Passopermalink
Exactly the same everything, drawings, genre, harlem and all but better because of they are idiols!
/! For sure if you like one, you WILL like the other /! - Same romance ambiance, where you have a (naive) girl, who will charmed all boys. (bishonen) - Musical ambiance, just in Kin no Corda it's just instrumental ambiance, and Uta no prince it's songs, dances, compositions. - Same bishonen style : cute boy, friendly boy, cold guy, schizophrenic guy. - the heroine begin with novice skill, but she become better (the best). the Only DIFFERENCE : in Uta no prince you don't have the fantastic touch, the heroine have real skill, and not a fairy behind her. It's OBLIGED you like one, you will like the other.
Both falls into music/romance/harem genre anime. In Kiniro no corda the MCs are using musical instrument while in Uta no prince sama the MCs are singer/songwriter/composer. Both has good looking guys with different personality.
One girl surrounded by a group of handsome guys. Both invlove schools for musicians.
In his type of argument, music, more bishonens, harem reverso.
Both are anime about music & are reverse harem. Both are made from visual novels of the same names. If you like one then you will definitely like other one.
Both anime are musical. Also, there is only the one main heroine surrounded by bishies! Both are harems..
Reverse harems, with a somewhat timid female lead. However, Kiniro focuses more on classical music, while UtaPri is about a school for pop idols. If you like one, you'll definitely like the other.
They are actually very similar, uto no prince sama is basicly a bording school of music, composing and singing, where a girl comes to the school, and there a a few boys with differnt personalities, that all admire her! Then there is kiniro no corda a bording school of again music but this time focusing on intrumetal music. And a girl again is surronded by boys, and helping her! kiniro has a twist of magic though! But if you like one you probily you would like the other! Oh and i LOVE both of the sound tracks, also they have pretty good art!
Both series are reverse harems based on an otome game so expect to see some hot n' steamin' guys complete with tsunderes and shotas! Both are music related as well. For Kiniro no Corda, the guys are talented mucisians while Uta no Prince-sama, the guys will be aspiring idols~ True that there are fewer guys present in UtaPri, but hey. they look even hotter than the guys of La Corda! (*/∇\*)キャ ♡Girls..get ready to fall in love!♡
Both are animes about music and have harem in it. they are both very similiar.
Both focus on music while Kiniro no Corda is into instruments and Uta no Prince-sama have musicians. Both also have reverse harem.
Both female protagonists must learn some form of music (violin and composing) with little or no former experience. The two go through a period of little self-confidence, and have to overcome that with a lot of practice and learning. Some jealousy is directed towards the two. They are surrounded by male students who help them and they befriend. Both happen to be prodigious in their respective music schools and have to compete with other students. The competing musicians and idols are admired by the rest of the student body. Also, these two animes encourage that love of music is enough motivation.
It's hard for me to not think about either of these series when watching them tbh. Both series features music as a prominent theme throughout each episode with the main female protagonist trying to learn the style and art of it. Both series features a prominent male cast who each specifies in music with different personalities and appearances. They make special bonds with the main female protagonist throughout the series as well. Both series also contain elements of drama, comedy, music, and romance.
Both animes about music. Also there is one main character surrounded with group of guys.
It got very romantic because every boys that a girl met feel in love and try to get her love them, have very good music to listening, there a lot of handsome/cute guys in the shows!!!! ^.^
Both anime are about music.. in both anime it turns around a girl who loves music and is taking music lessons.. during the episodes the two girls will meet diferent guys that will fall in love with her but one of them is more important to her <3
•both are a reverse harem •both girl protagonist are naive and timid and surrounded by beautiful Bishōnen boys •both anime contain music, where the protagonist and supporting boy cast compete to be the best at there respective fields •both anime supporting characters develop feelings for the protagonist girl and fall in love with her as the story develops •both have very simple, plot, which can be overlooked by the music being played in both animes •both anime girls struggle with criticism among there peer groups •they are very similar in the reverse harem, bishounen, romantic, musical way, if you liked one you would probably like the other.
The music situation and girl position in harem are similar. Both don't go to detailed into the romance and the music used it pretty good. If you like Primo passo u will 100% prince-sama, if you have watched prince-sama and not Primo passo I think you should still watch it even though it might not be as thrilling as doing it vise-versa.
They're both alike in its genres = music, romance, comedy. They do have the same story plot that shows how music can change anyone and to strive hard for what we really dream of.
Both have a reverse harem structure, where the sweet, 'natural' girl is surrounded by very talented, very good-looking men. Both focus on music, with Primo Passo featuring more classical music, and Uta Pri featuring pop music. Neither one has a very great plot structure - you won't be surprised by anything that happens, and the obstacles encountered by the protagonists are overcome fairly easily.
Both are about music. In La Corda, it's more about classical music. I heard a couple of songs that I used to listen when I was younger. It's kind of nostalgic. And in Prince-Sama, it's modern music that you could dance on =P. For me, it was a world to discover of high ranked talent. It made myself wanted to learn more. ^^'
Both of these are Reverse Harem anime and both take place in a music school, involving music students trying to progress as musicians and many male students are effected by one girls determination and love of music.
If you liked UtaPri, then you're pretty much guaranteed to like La Corda D'Oro as well. Along with being a reverse harem type anime based off of a video game, it also embraces the musical theme, though in La Corda, it's centered around instrumental music instead of vocals. La Corda also contains a wide selection of handsome guys with unique personality types. I think the heroine in La Corda is a slight bit more interesting as well.
Both are reverse harems that circle around music! ♪
Both are really similar shows with the main girl being surrounded by a bunch of guys with different personalities in a music school setting and a little supernatural element.. Though, Uta no Prince is more light-hearted and funny while La Corda D'oro is more dramatic. Fun shows to watch if you're a girl!
School of music. A lot of cute boys who are engaged with the protagonist. Oh,yeah, they are similar. :-)
They both have reverse harem, and they are both about music
Both UtaPri and Kiniro no Corda are essentially anime based around music appreciation. Kiniro no Corda takes this a little more seriously whereas UtaPri likes to focus more on the comedy, but both really like to delve into how music can be life changing. Also, both mc's begin as novice to music, but through the series begin to grow through their love for it. Both are also an odd sort of reverse harem in that all the pretty bishies fall for your girl, but romance almost never plays a part in the show. Also, both are FANTASTIC
-all the guys characters crush on the girl -reverse harem -music themed anime
Kiniro No Corda and Uta no Prince-sama both have the harem AND the music aspect. In Kiniro no Corda there's more using instruments while Uta no Prince-sama has instruments and vocals. The messages given through the music are absolutely astounding but I have to say that so far in Uta no Prince-sama the messages in Kiniro no Corda are much more powerful and have larger meaning. As for the harem aspect, in both there are also similar characters such as Azuma Yunoki and Jinguji Ren. Maybe even Ittoki Otoya and Kazuki Hihara. Either way, both are very strong in their music aspects and they have a lot of similiarities. The plots are also very good in my opinion and I reccommend that if you liked either, watch the other.
-Both are about music, one classical, the other one pop. Both contains amazing beautiful music -both contain a kind and shy heroine surrounded by hot and talented guys -both contain a little bit of fantastical theme (fairies and royalty etc.)
Ouran Koukou Host Clubpermalink
Both stories are harem. Both stories involve cute guys that will make you fall in love. :)
Both are reverse harem anime set in a 'special' school. They both have similar humor and characters.
Both are about a girl on a special school having her own reverse harem. Also, they both have romantic parts and are Shoujou anime. Ouran is about a host club (obviously) and tends to be more silly, and UtaPri is about singing and is more serious most of the time, but other than that they are pretty similar.
report Recommended by Yaadein
They are both reverse harem series with 'flashy' characters and plenty of humor (as well as a school setting). There are also a few voice actors shared between the two series.
'Sen percen' love' Also a reverse harem. This anime is pretty typical. Selective music school is the base. The main protagonist isn't simply an obstinate (or clueless) love interest to allow the audience to oggle bishies And the bishies aren't the exact same looking someone's definition of a perfect guy. She's the lyricist and they're the performers. even if you don't watch the anime Watch the opening theme song. 'cause it is freaking epic!
It's like Ouran with singing, really. They both have similar character types, and the episodes are set up in the same way. The fun and lovability that characterize Ouran are evident in Prince Sama too. But don't label Uta no Prince Sama as an Ouran Ripoff, it really is much different, but with the same feel. If you cried at the end of Ouran, You'll cry at the end of Prince Sama, I can guarantee that.
Ouran and Utapri both have somewhat harems. Though one is for singing and the other is for entertaining young girls, I would say they are marvelously close. They are both RomComs.
They're both reverse harems set in high school with 6 boys. There's noticeable bits of comedy and drama in both. There are also a lot of ridiculous moments that will make you smile in both shows.
Both series are reverse Harems that focus on the friendship between the main female lead and the boys surrounding her, thus, when Haruhi/Haruka spends time with each different guy we don't get the feeling that she is being unfaithful to the others.
Special school, check! Reverse harem, check! Cute female protagonist who is different compared to the other students, check! Crossdressing, check! Fanservice, check! (For straight girls though, or gay boys. Sorry!) UtaPri and Ouran are really alike, though, UtaPri is more serious at the times as Ouran tends to make you laugh every second. But hey, instead of rich brats fooling around all the time, UtaPri has boys cute bishou-boys singing and that can't be that bad, aye? And those boys like in Ouran, they WILL make you fall for them. And Haruka, UtaPri's main character, like Haruhi, is anything but a Mary Sue. (See, even the names are alike. I s2g)p If you liked UtaPri, you probably like Ouran and if you like Ouran, well, I hope you do like UtaPri. They're both hella funny and worth watching.
Both of these shows have a cute female main surround by 6 dashing guys in a school setting. The two present some great, laugh out loud comedy, but UtaPri also develops some more meaningful moments. Each show takes many of the shoujo cliches and plays off them, creating some over-the-top scenarios that you can't help but enjoy. Differences? I found Haruhi (from Ouran) to be a deeper character with much more spunk and personality. Haruka (from UtaPri) is shy and likes to please others (but she sure has some cute outfits!). Most importantly, in both shows you'd be hard pressed to choose one of these bishies over the others.. you really get to love them all! BONUS: UtaPri had me totally fangirling over the music. I didn't go into the show expecting much from the music, but I ended up loving nearly every song!
Amnesiapermalink
The heroine in both shows are almost emotionless and all the guys are after her. Each guy gets his own episode/arc.
both have a shy female main character five handsome boys with different characters around her , actually they care about her same art and same visual effects
Same quiet heroine; Both based on otome game; Reverse-harem - all the boys are in love with the one girl-heroine; Similar animation - the eyes, hair, people..
Both are based off of Otome games and have reverse male harems! The main female character goes down each guys' route in both series (but there is only implied romance in Utapri whereas the female protag dates the guys in Amnesia). Watch them if you love bishi male characters!
•both are based from an Otome game which is pretty convenient •both have a quiet/facial expressive/shy girl protagonist which are surrounded by lots of hunky/loveable/handsome bishies. •both are pretty much different in plots, mysteries in one, musical in the other •both i rated differently, i loved Uta Pri, with its excitable musical lyrics from each character, yet i hated and dropped Amnesia early on, because its just really DULL!!! even though the artwork music were great, it was boring. •they are just similar in the shy girl surrounded by lots of guys who adore her and have feelings for her, in a roundabout way, you probably might like one if you like the other
Both have mindbogglingly weak protagonists. Enjoy. Okay~ in all seriousness, the reverse-harem thing. Also, the protagonists kinda have the same look. I think the red hair and yellowy-green eyes automatically means weak protagonists in anime (Arcana Famiglia). It's a trend!
Both were based on an otome game; Both have a shy heroine and almost incapable of making decisions; Both have a reverse harem; All the main boys fell in love with the heroine and they have distinct personalities; Similar art: eyes, different clothes, hair..
Both are Shojo, and the protagonist is a girl surrounded by five guys. Difference with (Utapri) that it is a musical school where the girl writes the songs and the boys sing in a debut, While in (Amnesia) the girl loses memory and apparently will get help from the five guys to recover his memories. My first recommendation I hope you enjoy it!
They are both romantic anime They have hot bishounen boys Great animation
They are both are about a group of boys that are in love with the heroine. Both anime allows the viewer to 'choose' which character is the best to stay with the heroine. The heroine is a simple character that allows the viewers to feel that that they are the heroine.
Both about a practically emotionless girl and a bunch of guys falling for her.
Kamigami no Asobipermalink
Singing boys, reverse harem, Daisuke Ono (second season UtaPri). Lots of cheesy moments and lots of men driven to woo the One Strumpet. Both are romantic fan service driven towards ladies (and curious males) The male voice actors for both series sing in the beginning and endings (only Uta No Prince Sama is more geared towards the men and their individual songs where this one is more geared towards mythology in some way) And both are Otome game series by Broccoli.
Both are reverse harem shows. They have a bunch of guys and one heroine. In Kamigami it is gods and in Uta no prince sama it is singers. Both have funny moments.
School setting, bright colours, fluffy romance, cute boys, similar comedy/silly antics, one girl changing the boys' lives, and lastly, same game company. You can also relate the characters together as well because they share similar tropes. Ittoki/Apollon, Balder/Cecil, Tsukito/Masato, Takeru/Syo just as an example. =P
Being real here, both these animes' stories are ridiculous. But the boys in both of them make it worth it.
Reverse harems in the setting of a school that's not ordinary.
Well, both have the harem aspect of the show. The male characters of each harem really resemble the other. I just recently began Uta No Prince-sama and as soon as I saw each character I knew that each character resembled the other. Such as Jinguji Ren and Balder Hringhorni for instance. Or maybe even Ittoki Otoya and Apollon Agana Belea. Also, in Uta no Prince-sama there's some singing action going on there, now in Kamigami no Asobi, there's also singing from each character but only in the opening and the closing of each episode. Both plots are quite amazing and I seriously do recommend one or the other if you liked either of these amazing shows.
First of all, they are both reverse harems. The MC in both series is adorable and makes her own choices. They are both really lively and fun to watch. It is just nice to watch them if you need a boost of happiness!
Starry☆Skypermalink
Exactly the same except the setting is more exciting with Uta no Prince Sama because of the idol settings.
Both series are reverse harem: many cool boys who casually and inevitably fall in love for the same girl. As well both anime have been realized after their game, still both share the same school life genre and have a great art. Both are recommended! ♥
Both are otome games, both have cute guys who surrounds one girl, they're pretty much the same except in plots :)
The artstyle and the feeling (athmosphere) are pretty similar
Both have reverse harem as theme and in both most of the boys have something they're troubled by, like their past for example and the heroine is always there to cheer them up.
UtaPri was an interesting anime. If you like reverse harem i suggest you watch both. Starry Sky was cute and since all of the guys in both had a different personality to choose from, i'm sure you'll find a character you like
1. All the guys are hot in both 2. The main girl character is a little shy and cute 3. Each episode focuses on one guy (doesn't necessarily have a story arc but nevertheless interesting) 4. Colours are really beautiful - well animated. Music is well done.
B-Project: Kodou*Ambitiouspermalink
If you like boys idol shows then you've just got to see B-Project. It is like Uta-pri with a more in depth insight to daily idol life that feels more authentic. Don't get me wrong, I love Uta-Pri, but B-Project just felt like a mature version of it.
Out of the all new Idol anime, B-Project bears the most resemblance to UtaPri including the focus on each of the characters, the slight trouble of being a big idol group, quarrels, joint projects, festivals, drama and the overall graphics and sound quality, maybe perhaps some of the personalities too.
Out of all series, I highly doubt you will find something as similar to UtaPri as B-Project. I mean, B-pro's character designer, drew the UtaPri manga and they share some voice actors. Then.. Why isn't it the no.1 recommendation? Well, B-project is fairly new. And I hope by the time you're reading this recommendation, it's already the most recommended series. Okay. So B-Pro and UtaPri are pretty much the same, but at the same time they aren't. Let's say these stories share a same core. Imagine both of them are the same type of cake, but with different toppings. So the main similarity is that both series are about male idols, with a female main character as main. She sort of manages the groups in her own way and it's up for debate whether she's likable or not. That's the cake. The topping is the way the characters are introduced, portrayed and how the story is filled. Every episode will focus on one specific character. However, whereas UtaPri takes a slower approach to introduce the characters, B-Pro just sort of slams all of them in your face during the first minutes of episode one. UtaPri also seems to have more of a 'main storyline' as we have Nanami's school life and her love Hayate. B-Pro is more slice-of-life orientated and takes an easier approach on that. Both series take a lot of mainstream 'reverse harem' tropes, putting down a cast with very stereotypical characters. I don't know if it's because, back when I watched UtaPri, I saw a smaller amount of shows, or if it's something other people can agree on too, but the characters felt less predictable. In B-Pro's case, their actions, personalities and conversations sometimes even gave me this 'Dèja-vu' feeling. The amount of romance in UtaPri is significantly higher, too. And better paced. And there wasn't usage of (sorry to use this word) shitty CG (at least in the first seasons). Then again, B-Pro seems to focus more on the aspect of being an idol (f.e. showing how a song gets recorded, the characters doing their first live, recording a commercial, ..). Even though I think UtaPri is generally more likable, I think you should definitly give B-pro a shot if you're looking for something similar. I've seen that La Corda D'oro is currently the number one recommendation for UtaPri and honestly, I think it should be B-Pro. So. Long things short: - Male Idols - Same mangaka (at least, B-Pro's character designer, Utako Yukihiro, drew the UtaPri manga. The character designs from UtaPri are by Kurahana Chinatsu) - Similar music style - Beautiful art - Catchy songs - Great voice cast - Also some voice actors in common: Ono Daisuke (Kira and Kitakado), Morikubo Showtaro (Reiji and Hikaru, also note how they have a similar personality too) and Toriumi Kousuke (Cecil and Sakutaro). - Characters that give off a similar vibe? Whether it's Ai and Aizome's similar name and design, Ranmaru and Goushi's similar view on things, Hikaru and Reiji who, as I said, share a voice actor and personality or just a common name like Mikado.
Both shows are about male idol groups and a not very intelligent dense girl that's good with music. Both girls help their idol groups reach more potential while they all have some romantic scenes so that the girl can get to know the idols individually. Both shows give off a similar vibe in terms of music, atmosphere, heroines and the variety of guys all with different qualities and personalities.
Both tell the stories of male idol groups working their way up to popularity!
- main characters are girls and are related to the boys in some way (UtaPri: the girl is the composer for the group, while in B-Project: the girl is their manager) - they both focus on idol groups with bishounen guys - reverse harem
Has a subject that deals with his idols and experiences. The songs are beautiful. Funny
Starmyupermalink
Both anime revolve around a group of boys at a music academy who train to become idols. The main difference is that UtaPri has a female lead while HSSM focuses on the boys. The boys in each have similar character designs and personalities.

- the setting took place in a music school - most of the characters are male - the main thing is about idol group
Both anime involve a group of boys trying their hardest to be at the top. Both anime involve singing and dancing. both anime try to tell a story of different boys trying to achaive something, the only difference is that utapri have a girl in it which helps the boys to achieve the top while starmyu doesn't. So if you liked starmyu you will definitely like utapri because they are really similar in ways like the character development with each other, the songs they sing, the main story line which is to reach the top.
They are musical, have bishounen (pretty boys[w/ the big eyes an' all]), dancing, singing, great music. There is something they overcome etc. ENJOY ;)
Skip Beat!permalink
Although the art and plot are different, both animes are about a girl, who is surrounded by bishies, trying to make it in the world of show biz. Although the humuor is different, if you liked one you wil like the other :D Also, even though, its kind of irrelevent, both animes have weird and excentric caracters as the ones in charge of the school (uta no prince sama) / show biz (skip beat)
They're both about a girl who wants something to do with music. The difference is that in skip Beat Kyoko did it for revenge and in Uta no Prince-Sama Haruka wants to write a song for a idol who indirectly helped Her out. The both have a guy named Ren and Shou though i don't think The ones in Uta no Prince-Sama are rivals. Their Both really good.
Skip Beat and Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% are very similar in that they share the same type of alluring call to those who are trying to make it big. Although I'd say that the artwork in Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% is much better than Skip Beat, I enjoyed Skip Beat's plot much more (Although be warned that it doesn't really have much of an ending)
The main character tries to get to show business.
Similarities 1 Both are about singing music and Film industry 2 Hard ships faced by MC to achieve their dreams 3 Slice of life, lighthearted, and a slow paced anime 4 Romance and love 5 Both animes features the life of Celebrities (Uta no prince is much much beater then skip beat..skip beat was kinda lame but uta no prince is a good anime )
Both are in the show business and find 'love' in the show biz. Both female leads bring out the best in one another.
Brothers Conflictpermalink
Both have a young girl surrounded by many men who has to live near them. Every boy has a different personality and the two series have the same general feeling with a quiet female protagonist.
Both females are similar in which they are hard-working at achieving their goals, well-mannered and likeable. Oh and that they surrounded by men in which they show harboring feelings (some more than others). Both ladies have more introverted or passive qualities as well. Uta Pri - plot is influenced by music and fame Brothers Conflict - focuses more on family relations and fits into the slice-of-life category
Very similar character tropes. Overall story is similar too: Girl picks between 6 idols vs girl picks between 13 brothers. Mutual VAs: Kaname/Ren, Tsubaki/Masato, Azusa/Cecil. If you enjoy one, you will enjoy the other.
Very similar reverse harem setup with awesome guys you wish were real! If you liked Uta no Prince sama, you'll like Brothers Conflict!
-Both are reverse harem, meaning guys fight for the girl's affection. -The guys in both animes are super handsome! -The girls in both animes are stunned by the moves the guys make on them. -The girls ignore the guys' advances. -The guys all end up falling in love with the girl.
Magic-Kyun! Renaissancepermalink
Singing idols, reverse harem but with magical abilities.
Girl gets guys together to perform and creates pieces for them to sing. Singing and music is involved.
The shows have a lot of similarities: great animation, reverse harem theme, motivational and feel-good tone to each episode, overall light and positive vibes. I guess if you want to be cynical you can say both shows follow the same 'script'. Personally I enjoyed them both and I think if you like one you'll definitely like the other.
-Both are reverse Harems -Both Main Characters are girls that are surrounded by very talented boys -Both MCs are talented -Both MCs bring the boys together -Both MCs are loved by all the boys in the groups -Both animes take place in a school setting
I am surprised that nobody has recommended this anime has a fantastic sub for Prince Sama, bc Magic Kyun practically the 2017 version of the latter. And with lesser tropes+stunning visuals. Here are the similarities (copied from a YouTube comment): - Both main characters have a dead family member - Both talk to their dead family members about their accomplishments - They transfer to a school for talented people - Both characters fell ill on the day of their entrence exam - They meet beautiful and super talented guys who gradually start liking the MCs - Their room mates both have the same personalities - Both characters are not nearly as talented enough as they need to be for the school - They both are going to work super hard to get talent Oh, and unlike in Prince Sama, the animators of Magic Kyun have made it clear which guy they're rooting for in the series.
Kaikan Phrasepermalink
Both is about getting into the music industry. Difference is that Uta no Prince-sama is boy band(idol) while Kaikan Phrase is a band(rock band or something like that). Then there's also a composer in both. Kaikan Phrase has romance is the lovey dovey kind in the later half while uta no prince-sama romance is not obvious. More like other kind of reverse harem since it is from a game. Okay idk if i'm making sense but you'll understand me if you watch them both.
same genre, same theme, Girl falls for boy except in Uta no prince-sama the guy is an idol where as kaikan phrase the boy the lead girl falls for is a rock star and she composes music for him. Sooo its very much similar with slight differences but totally worth the watch (:
Neo Angelique Abysspermalink
Again, reverse harem anime. The only difference is that Neo Angelique has more action/fantasy
Female protagonist - same personality/character The guys are equally hot and have unique personalities Only difference is that this anime focuses on music rather than fantasy
Bonjour♪Koiaji Pâtisseriepermalink
Haruka Nanami and Haruno Sayuri attend a prestigious school. One is for becoming idol/composer while the other a patisserie (baking) She meets bishes who fall in love with her. Whiether it be her music or cooking/baking. Also they meet their first friend who is always there for them. The principle/headmaster has their eye on her. Manly she has potential and such. Both anime has a strict rule of being in a relationship with said bishie. Both series is a reverse harem. One is full length and the other a five minute series.
Both have: -The female MC attending a prestigious academy. -The rule about 'You are not allowed to fall in love.' -Reverse harems. -Similar harem characters. -Similar female MCs -That one best friend the female MC has. -Pretty much everything else. The only differences? -The titles. -The things they're based on. (Bonjour♪ Koiaji Pâtisserie is based on pastries and sweets. Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% on the other hand is based on music and idols.) -The length of the episodes. (Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% is normal lengthed, around less than 30 minutes. Bonjour♪ Koiaji Pâtisserie is more of a shorts series as each episode only lasts around 5 minutes.) They're practically the same anime. Don't even try to argue.
Gravitationpermalink
Both Uta no Prince-Sama Maji Love 1000% is similar to Gravitation in a way that the main genre are both about singing, while Shuichi wants yuki attention, Haruka wants to write a song for Hayato. Though, Uta no Prince-Sama Maji Love 1000% and gravitation is in a way different because Uta no prince sama has more characters and forth but for gravitation Shuichi just want to sing for yuki. If you like gravitation, you may end up liking uta no prince sama afterall they both have nice songs :D
The similarity between these 2 anime is very clear and apparent: You can replicate any of the songs sung in both of these series simply by eating a taco, holding the microphone to your backside and letting loose a powerful blast from your, 'musical', ass.
Dance with Devilspermalink
both are reverse harems both are heavily influenced by boy bands and have the male characters break into song both feature a group of attractive men vying for the girls attention both are set in an academic setting Uto no Prince focuses more on the performance side, while Dance with the Devil just throws in the singing as an after thought. Both have very attractive males with a female protagonist that appears clueless. If you like Uta No Prince then you will probably like Dance wit the Devils.
it reminded me of dance with devils because both of the series have 1 girl and a lotta guys that love that one girl. they both are kinda musical music like as well :)
Aikatsu!permalink
Aikatsu is pretty much Uta no Princess Sama. Why? Because both anime take place in idol training school, and they are boarding schools. They also have a character who is interested in a music star. They also have characters who are music stars. Just flip the gender and they are exactly alike! So if you like Aikatsu, you will love Uta no Prince Sama!
Just take both anime and change the gender of the characters. They are both music related, and have to do particularly with characters pursuing their dreams. Additionally, they go to school to become future idols. Essentially, if you like Aikatsu!, you just might come across liking Uta no Prince-sama.
Love Live! School Idol Projectpermalink
both are about a group of teenagers who make an idol group together singing dancing friendship development but no love interest in love live
- School setting - Characters have the dream of becoming idols - No one believes they can actually become popular - Bishounens/Bishoujos - Live shows - Great songs

Well, both involves a girl in the middle of 6 guys.a reverse harem for all who don't know. But whereas Diabolik Lovers seems dark and evil, Uta no Prince-sama seems pure and light, well, if you don't mind the seiyuu of the guys singing the songs themselves, then go for it!! *their singing is not bad plus one of the seiyuu is Mamoru Miyano~
-Heroine is an idiot. -Reverse harem. -There is no specific plot. -Handsome guys. -Heroine tells least of all characters.
Marginal Prince: Gekkeiju no Ouji-tachipermalink
A bishounen cast of talented 'Princes' surrounding one (female in UtaPri and male in Marginal Prince) character that is not all that special in comparison. Main characters in both series attend an elite school where, at first, they feel like they don't quite belong. Every character in both series has different personalities and backstories that are presented in one episode each. Also, they all tend to burst out singing in one point or another (while the singing is good in UtaPri, it's really just amusing in Marginal Prince because it's so bad). If you enjoyed Marginal Prince, I'm absolutely positive you'll enjoy UtaPri, but I can't make any guarantees if it's the other way around.
Yeah, well for me, they're a close tie. They both have singing. Both have some slight connection to Yaoi. Each character has their own uniqueness. The only difference for me is the new student that goes in their school are in opposite genders. In Marginal Prince, the new student is a guy and in UtaPri, the new student is a girl. There's a lot of singing. ALOT. :))
AKB0048permalink
They both have to do with music and idol groups, but their are a few differences. AKB0048 is set in the future where entertainment is banned and the group known as 'AKB0048' put on guerrilla concerts for their fans. It is also an all girl group. On the other hand Uta no Prince is set in modern day with an all male group who songs are written by a single girl, and it just goes through their everyday lives. All and all they both have to do with music and idol groups. 100% recommend them both!! xx
Both of these anime have great songs, dancing, stardom struggles, and an abundance of one gender. Uta Pri is a more light-hearted story, not as deep as AKB, but I think that they are both enjoyable in their own ways.
The iDOLM@STERpermalink
Both series are about a group as they work to become idols. The IDOLM@STER is a harem whereas Uta no Prince-sama is a reverse harem.
Both are about a group of people striving to be idols and later become close friends. They both go through difficulties but they are able to overcome with the power of friendship and determination. Utapri is more romantic.
Hakuoukipermalink
Well, both of them are anime adaptations of Otome games XD and there are so many bishies XD..If you love reverse harem.. You must see them!!!!
Both are reverse harem with a really pretty art style. Hakuouki is about a historical group of samurai while Uta no Prince-sama is about coming idols in a high-end music school, so they are different in setup but both are really enjoyable in their own ways!

It's OBLIGED you like one, you will like the other.
IDOLiSH7permalink
Both are idol anime with a similar feel if you liked one you might like the other, however Idolidh7 has better characters and the protagonist isn't brain dead like the one in Uta no pri. But both are similar with the music and idol aspect

Reverse harem, lots of bishes, although Miracle Train has a different girl each episode
Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Livepermalink
The main protagonist is a girl, and she is surrounded with wonderful characters. Both are music themed, and mainly focus on the character pursuing their dreams. The only main difference is that one is about becoming idols while the other is about figure skating.
Free!permalink
A 'light' anime with a group of guys trying to 'accomplish' something. For Uta no prince-sama, it's music. But for Free, it's swimming. There are very few girls involved in the main plot other than the main character in Uta no Prince-sama. Also a good female fanbase.

PriParapermalink
They are both music themed, and have idols in the series. They are also aimed towards girls, except Pri Para is aimed towards younger girls, while Uta no Prince Sama is aimed towards older ones. The only difference is that in Pri Para the main character is in grade school and the main character in Uta no Prince Sama the character is in high school. To wrap this up, Pri Para is pretty much a gender-bent version of Uta no Prince Sama and vice versa.
Nanapermalink
It is about the love of music. Characters in both animes are very passionate about music and want to become the best. They always try hard to achieve their goals and succeed. However, there arent any deep love relationships in Uta no Prince-sama anime even though male characters are secretly in love with the female heroine. Anyway, even tho the theme of the animes might not be so alike I cant help but think about Nana when I watch Uta no Prince-sama. They kind of have the same feeling ( for me ).
Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu LOVE!permalink
- Both are really colorful - Both have some nice looking bishounen - Both have singing - Both are in a school setting I love both of these shows a lot!!! Binan koukou chikyuu bouei-bu love is a really great show, but it has magic elements, like a gender bender sailor moon type. I think the cheerful, colorful singing is the same in both shows- so if you liked Uta no Prince Sama, you're gonna like binan koukou chikyuu bouei-bu love!!! ( there's no romance in the series) (( this is my first recommendation- excuse the crude englsih))

Both of the animes are about idols who want to be more known. The only difference is that UtaPri is a reverse harem
The iDOLM@STER SideMpermalink
Both stories are music anime which focus on male idols and have comedy elements. The main differences are that in UtaPri the main character is female, while in IMas the characters are all males (there are no romance elements); and in UtaPri the idols start their music experience at school, while in IMas the characters are directly employed by the music agency. If you like funny, colorful music anime with male idols, you'll probaly enjoy both these series.

Reverse Harem The female leads seem a bit nervous and want to give up at first, but as the series goes on they become more determined. Both great quality, and have good story lines.

In both animes the characters form a band in the school, and discover there their passion for music (in Utapri is more evident even before they form the band, but with time this starts getting more and more clear). And the most important thing: amazing songs!

Both anime's feature male bishie idols with interesting personalitys. If you like one, you will like the other.

I know this may seem strange but both shows are in a way similar. There both based on VNs. They both have girls who are optimistic and positive and have differnt goals for school. The protagonist are always questioning there life. Both have a stereotypical yet unique harem. Both have amazing music and animation.
Koisuru Tenshi Angelique: Kagayaki no Ashitapermalink
They are both reversed-harems and, as it goes on, it shows how every boy falls in love with the girl. It's worth watching!!
Show By Rock!!permalink
Both are music based anime, really sparkly, have enjoyable characters, funny in my opinion, and their style of music is similar in my opinion. Though in Show by Rock most performers play an instrument and are in a band while Uta Pri performers sing and dance. Show by Rock has no romance whatsoever while Uta pri has a light romantic touch to it but it's sequel focuses more on the music, so Uta Pri it gets better with the sequel.

Gameplay[edit]

Uta no prince sama anime odcinki

Uta no Prince-sama is a comedy and romance visual novel in which the player assumes the character of Haruka Nanami. Uta no Prince-sama follows a branching plot line with multiple endings; depending on the decisions that the player makes during the game, the plot will progress in a specific direction.

There are seven main plot lines that the player will have the chance to experience, three which are initially available (four in All Star). Throughout gameplay, the player is given multiple options to choose from, and text progression pauses at these points until a choice is made. To view all plot lines in their entirety, the player must replay the game multiple times and make different choices to change the plot progression. The player must also complete various minigames, which affect the different endings.

Plot[edit]

With dreams of becoming a composer and someday writing a song for her favorite idol, Haruka Nanami enters the Saotome Academy, a prestigious performing arts school. Surrounded by potential idols and producers, Haruka gets to know six of her classmates, who are all competing to become idols. For her project, she must team up with another student as an idol-producer team, and if they are successful, they will join Shining Agency after graduation. In addition, romance is strictly prohibited at their school.

Reception[edit]

Uta no Prince-sama was the 13th top selling franchise in Japan in 2017, with a total of ¥1,667,975,801 in estimated sales.[37] Part of its wide appeal comes from Twitter accounts run by the characters, where fans are able to be updated on the characters' music and merchandise activities, and are in turn treated like real-life celebrities.[38]

Uta no Prince-sama Repeat was awarded the Best Consumer Game by Dengeki Girl's Style for the Otome Game Awards 2011, while Uta no Prince-sama: Sweet Serenade was ranked #7 in the same category. Syo Kurusu won Best Character, while Tokiya Ichinose ranked #3 and Masato Hijirikawa as #9 in the same category.[39]

Over 1 million users downloaded Uta no Prince-sama Shining Live upon the first week of its release.[40]

Rebecca Silverman from Anime News Network praised Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love 1000%, the anime's first season, for its music and fluid animation, while citing its weaknesses in the 'ridiculous' plot points, poor choice in color, Haruka's character design, and that the characters never 'evolve beyond their types.'[41] Bamboo Dong from Anime News Network called the series 'entertaining', but felt the character designs made the characters look more like adults instead of high school students and that adapting from the original video game resulted in the 'archetypal' characters having 'jerky' character development.[42] The voice actors for STARISH won the award for Best Musical Performance at the 6th Seiyu Awards, while Mamoru Miyano won the award for Best Actor in Supporting Roles.[43]

Regarding the series' fourth season, Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love Legend Star, Silverman praised the music and character development, but felt that the show became oversaturated with 'too many characters', as well as the plot and animation going 'downhill.'[44]Uta no Prince-sama has also been linked to the Odagiri effect, as seen in the later anime series where Haruka's role has been increasingly diminished in favor of the relationships between the male characters.[45]Use odin to unbrick phone.
