The Good The NES Classic is a miniaturized, faithful recreation of the original 1980s Nintendo home console. It includes 30 classic 8-bit games, perfectly preserved.

Super Punch-Out!! - The fourth game in the Punch-Out series, this is another on the list I never actually played because, quite frankly, while I've always enjoyed fighting games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, I simply can't say the same for boxing games. Still, the game was well-received at the time and I'm sure it's perfectly fine if that's your thing.

Yoshi’s Island - Released at the end of the SNES lifecycle, Yoshi's Island is at once a sequel to Super Mario World and a prequel to the entire Mario franchise. It featured a new hand-drawn artstyle and was the first, and one of the only, games to use Argonaut Games's Super FX2 microchip which was designed to improve graphics capabilities on the Super Nintendo. Doom was another SuperFX 2 game, as was the never-released Star Fox 2.

The PlayStation Classic is here, and it comes loaded with 20 original PlayStation games. Similar to Nintendo's NES and SNES Classics, the console itself is significantly smaller than the original, though the included replica controllers is full size. This piece of hardware is now available to purchase, having launched on December 3, exactly 24 years after the original system launched in Japan.

You can find the full game lineup below, but some of the highlights include Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms. The unit ships with an HDMI cable, USB cable, and two wired controllers. Notably, it does not come with an AC adapter.

It's also worth noting that it ships with replicas of the original PS1 controller, which doesn't have analog sticks. In 1997, Sony released the DualShock controller for PS1, which many people regard as a significant improvement, thanks to its two analog sticks and vibration function. There's no word yet on whether Sony will release DualShock controllers for the PlayStation Classic.
